Man on the Moon Creeps over the Hill
Forty years ago today, one fifth of the world’s population watched Neil Armstrong open the doors of Apollo 11 and step out onto the surface of the moon.
Armstrong’s leap left eternal footprints on the moon’s surface and and a subsequent undying lust for conspiracy theories in our minds.
A 1999 poll showed that while 89% of Americans believe in the Moon Landing, 6% still think the event was a hoax. Another 5% just don’t know.
My favorite theory suggests that Stanley Kubrick filmed the Moon Landing while shooting post production for 2001: Space Odyssey. I sort of wish that one were true.
So, what do you think?
