Sushi, Sashimi, or Some Stuff Wrapped in Seawood
If you are like me, sometimes you feel stupid when reading a menu at a Sushi restaurant. Sushi? Sashimi? I’m just looking for the good stuff that comes wrapped in a roll. So what is the difference?
Sashimi is sliced raw fish, served alone. When the fish is served over clumps of rice, it’s called Nigiri Sushi. And when it is all delicious and rolled up in seaweed (Nori) it’s called Maki-Zushi, which is probably the most popular form of Sushi. This is probably what you usually order. Think California Roll.
And all together, it is SUSHI!
