Video Hits One

Once upon a time the demand for music channels was so high that MTV’s parent company decided to launch a second station. In 1985 VH1: Video Hits One debuted as MTV’s older, more mature, top 40-loving big sister.
Only ten years later, VH1 encountered her first identity crisis when she changed her name to VH1: Music First. And in 2003, on the verge of a nervous breakdown, she dropped her name completely.
Now, The Channel Formerly Known as VH1 is nothing but a bright, flamboyant pink and orange logo. After losing the subtitle completely VH1 coined a new phrase, “Watch and Discuss.”
I want to know, what ever happened to “Watch and Listen.”
